July 3, 2004 -- Bright Bike have just launched the FOLDe folding electric bike. It weighs just 27 kg, has a range of 18 miles and is equipped with extras, previously not found on a budget priced electric bike.

These Folding Electric Bikes are 100% complient with all European and UK laws classing them as pedal cycles, therefore the rider does not require a license, tax, insurance or helmet as long as they are at least 14 years old, to be used on the public road.

The FOLDe comes with lights, a horn, brake lights, front basket, rear top-box and even a seven piece tool kit. All this is just £299 from Electric Bikes Direct.
